This axis hide is a byproduct from a Texan ranch that was required to cull over 100 axis deer for population control reasons. While the meat was successfully sold at a local market, there was not a demand for the hides that met how time-intensive and expensive the tanning process was. By purchasing this baguette, you give new life to this axis hide that would have otherwise gone to waste.
